Case study: top 25 U.S. CPA firm

Aprio: zero to 50+ in one tax season.

Aprio needed tax capacity ahead of busy season without compromising talent quality or firm culture. Three months after signing, the team was live. By April it was delivering at full capacity.

Busy season was coming and domestic hiring wasn't going to close the gap.

The usual alternative was an outsourcing contract, which meant telling clients their returns were being prepared by an outside firm Aprio didn't control, staffed by people Aprio hadn't met.

Neither option was acceptable. Aprio wanted its own team, held to its own standards, live in under a quarter.

This is the calibre a GCC attracts.

Hired in weeks, from an associate director with 25 years in U.S. tax down to associates in their first year. Every one came from a firm your partners would recognise.

Pipeline access, not faster recruitment.

Sourcing, interviewing and onboarding a full tax team in weeks isn't something you achieve by running recruitment harder. It comes from already having the relationships, the people you want to hire already knowing who you are. That is what a 1.2MM+ accountant community buys.

The expansion is the result.

Having seen the quality of the talent and the seamlessness of the integration, Aprio is expanding well beyond the original tax scope, across Tax, Audit, CAS, Advisory and Technology. A firm that expands a GCC after one season has answered the only question that matters.

Aprio started in October and was live in January. The same timeline is open to you.
